You may see a haze outside today.
The Timmins Fire Department says the wind direction has changed, bringing some of the smoke from bush fires in the area into the city. It says you will see a haze and smell the smoke in the air today. Firefighters say if you have health problems , you should take precautions while the smoke is in town. The department says it can affect people with asthma and other breathing issues.
There is no word yet on when the smoke will dissipate.
The Fire Department says the burning ban is still in place meaning no one should be having any sort of campfires.
