TPS Is Upping its Patrols and Looking for Speeders

Speeding on the roads could land you a ticket.

The Timmins Police Service says it has received multiple complaints of people driving over the 50 kilometre an hour speed limit on Sandy Falls, Government and sections of Dalton Road. Communications Coordinator Marc Depatie says speed limits are put in place to keep both you, other drivers and pedestrians safe.

Depatie says speeding in these areas seems to happen every year when the weather gets better. He says police patrols will be increased in these areas.

He says if you get caught speeding, you could face fines and demerit points.
