Over 1,000 UFO sightings were reported in Canada last year, with one being in the region.
Last year on May 10th, someone reported seeing an irregular brown shape with a trail in Iroquois Falls and sent a picture to Ufology Research. The research group has been gathering Canadian UFO sighting information and ranking the tips on their reliability since 1989. This sighting ranked five out of 10 on the reliability scale.
A sighing and video from February 16th of a “warm comforting” stationary light in New Liskeard also ranked a five on the reliability scale.
The Ufology Research report says about eight per cent of the sightings in 2017 remained unexplained. It also says there are 10 sightings in Canada considered “high quality”. Four of these came from Ontario locations including Smithville, Ottawa, Pakenham and French River.
