North East taking the lead in new Fentanyl patch bill

The Tory MPP for Nipissing is excited that Sudbury police have adopted his Private Member’s Bill on fentanyl patches even before its law. Sudbury is now doing what North Bay and West Nipissing started which is people getting refills on fentanyl have to bring back their old patches. Vic Fedeli introduced his Bill because the drug is taking a heavy toll on addicts.

Fedeli is pushing for a province-wide law and he says until his proposal becomes law, addicts will find ways to get the drug.

Fedeli’s Bill has already been introduced in the Legislature and will come up for second reading sometime next year.
