A Timmins man is in jail facing attempted murder charges.
The Timmins Police Service says the investigation started on April 11th when officers were called to the hospital where a 46-year-old man was injured after an assault. The man has since been released from the hospital.
Police say the assault was isolated and the suspect targeted the victim. Officers say they put out a warrant for a 37-year-old man’s arrest. The man was arrested on Tuesday. He is facing charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon with a dangerous purpose and breach of probation.
The man is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
