Students will be filling their bellies before school today thanks to a fundraising campaign.
Pinecrest Public School is the winners of the Canadian Red Cross’s 4th annual Bowlful of Breakfast campaign. The Red Cross says in September, Independent stores across the district raised over $600 and collected 300 boxes of healthy cereal for local school Student Nutrition Programs.
The organization says schools that participated were entered to win a promotional breakfast, and Pinecrest was this year’s winner. It says these are programs that help students get a healthy start to their day.
Moose FM will be at the school tomorrow morning to help prepare and serve breakfast to the kids.
