The splash pads at both Hollinger and White Water Park are still closed.
The City of Timmins says even though the weather is warming up, the splash pads are currently not working according to Manager of Parks, Recreation and Building Services Glenn Thurston. He says the water lines into the park are frozen.
Thurston says crews will be working to get the pads open so that kids can cool off. He says the city has been getting calls asking why they aren’t working yet.
Thurston says the city hopes to have the splash pads open by Saturday. He says this is assuming the weather holds up and the lines can thaw out.
