Kapuskasing has teamed up with the town of Cobalt to develop solar projects to harness energy from the sun. Strathcona Solar Initiatives, an Ontario based solar provider, will construct and maintain three sites in Cobalt. Kapuskasing has been partnering with municipalities across Ontario to develop these projects. Mayor Alan Spacek says developing new partnerships in this environment of increased costs and less revenues from traditional sources is a good thing.
