Multiple Bodies Found at the Scene of a Suspicious Vehicle Fire

An investigation is underway after the remains of what is believed to be four people were found at the scene of a suspicious fire.

The Timmins Police Service says it was alerted of a fire on Price Road, about six kilometers south of Dalton Road, around 6:00pm on Friday. Police say this fire is being viewed as suspicious and foul play is not being ruled out. TPS says this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public’s safety.

Officers say at this point they are requesting the public’s assistance in regards to information of any sightings of the vehicle that was involved in this fire. It is a 2004 Chrysler Intrepid, either blue or green. Police say they can’t really determine the exact colour at this point due to the damage from the fire.

The age of the victims are not yet known. Police say from the remains, the fire was intense. TPS adds that it won’t know whether the victims were adults or if there were children until forensic investigators and the coroner investigate. 

The scene of the fire is blocked off and controlled by police while the investigation is still going on. Timmins Police say Price Road is closed at its intersection with Dalton Road and Pine Street South.

Police say they are looking for any information on the event, whether it’s that nothing happened or you saw something suspicious to narrow down the time frame.
