Students and staff are proud of their fundraising efforts for the Terry Fox Foundation.
District School Board Ontario North East says to date, the district has raised $395,307.23 through the fundraising walk. DSB One Board Chair Bob Brush says this is absolutely amazing and worth celebrating.
Brush says Roland Michener Secondary School in South Porcupine participated in all 28 school runs so far making it the number one fundraising school in the district. Roland Michener students have raised a total of $45,201.70 on their own. Brush says this is something that students get excited about because they see how it helps.Â
Brush says he can’t wait to see how the total continues to grow over the coming years. He adds that he sees DSB One continuing the educate student on Terry Fox and contributing to the foundation forever.Â
