TPS Searches for Attempted Murder Suspect

A warrant is out for an attempted murder suspect.

The Timmins Police Service says officers are currently investigating an incident that sent a 46-year-old to hospital with critical injuries after an assault. TPS says it was called to the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday while the victim was getting treated. Police say they are viewing this as an isolated incident where the suspect targeted the victim, and there is no threat to the public. Police are not giving out any information on the event or the victim to protect the victim.

The 46-year-old has been released from the hospital.

TPS is issuing an arrest warrant for 37-year-old Christopher Killeen on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation. Police say officers are actively looking to arrest this man.

Anyone with information on the assault or Killeen’s whereabouts  is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
