News Charges laid in fatal collision SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Tuesday, Oct. 28th, 2014 Timmins Police have laid charges after a fatal car collision at the beginning of the month. 52 year old Jacques Samson was hit by a car around 2 AM on the 4th. Although he was taken to the hospital, he died from his injuries. The driver of the taxi that hit him, a 39 year old Timmins woman, is being charged with unsafe turning, and improper left turn. She will appear in court next month.
