Timmins is on the list for Northern Ontario infrastructure funding.
The city will be getting more than $15-million combined from the federal and provincial government over the span of 10 years to be used for transit. Mayor Steve Black says the city has some ideas on what it wants to use the upcoming money for, but it’s not sure it will work.
Black says the funding amounts per year will start smaller and increase over the 10 years.
There is no word yet on when the first funding amount will be provided.
