Ottawa Fundraiser Helps the Timmins Coldest Night of the Year Walk

Donations are piling up for the Timmins Anti-Hunger Coalition’s Coldest Night of the Year Walk.

Executive Director Jennifer Vachon says they have raised about 74 per cent of their $30,000 fundraising goal for food security in Timmins thanks to community members.

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says he is donating $1,350 he raised at his annual Grassroots fundraiser in Ottawa. Angus says having the money go to Timmins didn’t stop people from donating.

Angus says food security and the work done by the Timmins Anti-Hunger Coalition needs support.

He says he will be walking with his team at the event on Saturday. Click here to register or for more information.
