Council to Discuss Replacement Work to Kraft Creek Bridge

Replacement work to Kraft Creek Bridge may start this spring.

Timmins City Council will be discussing the project and going over staff recommendations. According to city staff, a structural review done in 2012 determined the bridge on Airport Road should be replaced. Staff has budgeted $4.5-million for the project in this year’s budget, and has received money through the Small Communities Fund, which has equal contributions between municipal, provincial and federal governments that must be spent by December 31st, 2020.

The city says if the project gets awarded to a company, work is expected to start this spring and finish by the fall.

The council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:00pm at City Hall.
