Timmins Ecological Beekeeping Association Looks to Rebuild

A local organization is looking to start back up again after loosing everything in fire last year.

The Timmins Ecological Beekeeping Association is hoping to get things back up and running this April. Founder and President Rene Bertrand says he will be hosting sleigh rides this winter along his property to raise enough money to pay for all the lost equipment. Bertrand says it would be very unfortunate for the region if the association couldn’t start back up again.

He says groups can come out to the trails on his property for a 30 minute sleigh ride and pay him whatever they think the ride was worth.

He says even if he doesn’t get to continue the association, he will keep operating the group’s Facebook page in case people want to ask any questions about bees.

You can contact Bertrand by calling 705-465-1134 or e-mail at [email protected].
