Two Kirkland Lake Men are Facing Drug Trafficking Charges

Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after a R.I.D.E. program stop.

The OPP says on February 6th, officers were doing a R.I.D.E. program at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 577 in Stock Township, about 15 kilometres west of Matheson. Police say they seized some suspected methamphetamine and suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $36,000. A 23-year-old man and 19-year-old man from Kirkland Lake are facing a combined six charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police say both men have been released and will appear in court on April 10th.
