Timmins Woman Faces Impaired Driving Charges

January has seen a reduction in impaired driving charges.

The Timmins Police Service says one person is facing impaired charges after a single vehicle collision. Police say on January 26th, officers were called to the collision in the Highway 655 and Ross Avenue area.

TPS says police arrested the 38-year-old woman driving after she showed sign of impairment. She is facing two charges of driving impaired. Police say she was released and will appear in court today.

TPS says even though there was a drop in impaired driving charges, the goal still remains at having zero. If you suspect a driver is impaired, you are asked to call 9-1-1.
