Over fishing results in $1,500 fine for Timmins man

A Timmins man has been fined $1,500 for over fishing and he’s been banned from fishing for two years.   Shawn Dillon and a friend were walleye fishing on the Mattagami River last July.   At the end of the day Conservation Officers met up with the pair to ensure the number of walleye they caught was within the daily limit.   The officers found the anglers were at their daily maximum limit.   However what got Dillon into trouble was when the officers found four skinned walleye in a bag under the steering column of his truck.  Those four fillets took him over his limit resulting in the fine and fishing suspension.
