The annual Candy Run is set to take place rain or shine this Sunday.
Continuing with the long standing tradition, the volunteer firefighters at the Whitney Department will be dressing in clown costumes and going around Porcupine collecting food and cash donations for the South Porcupine Food Bank. They will also be handing out candy to kids who see Santa on one of the trucks. Fire Captain Bill McCord says residents in Porcupine won’t be able to miss them.
Volunteers will be hitting the streets at about 9:00am in the east side and will go until they go down every street in the area.
