The next Timmins blood donor clinic is in recognition of a local girl.
10-year-old Sophia from Timmins was diagnosed with Leukemia this summer and has been at The Hospital for Children in Toronto since. Canadian Blood Services Territory Manager Joanne Drake says Sophia has already received many units of blood, and will need more in the future.
Drake says this time of year, blood is in desperate need.
The clinic will be open at St. Dominique Church form 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, 11:30am to 2:30pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday and 12:00pm to 3:00pm on Wednesday.
