Work on Sk8te Hollinger will be stopped for the time being.
Timmins City Council is asking that all work on the outdoor skating figure eight halt until projects are approved by the CAO and city staff. CAO Dave Landers says this is to ensure work to the city owned park is safe to move forward.
Landers says this does not mean the project is ending, it just means certain details requested need approval before being added.
He says creator on Sk8te Hollinger Ken Pye and the city are currently working on a preliminary agreement on how the two will work together on this community project.
Another presentation on the outdoor rink is expected to come to council next week.
