Timmins Police are once again reminding everyone of bear safety. 69 calls were received in September of bear sightings, and so far this month there has already been four calls,at only two days in. Keep garbage in a shed, garage, or bear proof container until the morning of pick up, and clean up all fallen fruit, especially rotting apples. Bears are preparing to go into hibernation and they are out looking for food. If you see a bear and are in immediate danger, call 911. Otherwise, call the MNR.
