The first two days of Stars and Thunder ticket sales are lower than last year.
Week long passes for the eight-day event went on sale on Thursday for Timmins residents and Friday for the rest of the world. Mayor Steve Black says on Friday, the city saw about $500,000 in ticket sales compared to last years more than $1-million on day one. Black says there could be a few factors going into the lower sale numbers.
Black says this was to be expected, but the goal is to reach $1-million in sales by Christmas time.
Tickets can be found online or at City Hall.
