Organ and tissue conversion rates at the Timmins and District Hospital are being recognized.
TADH is one of 27 hospitals in the province receiving the Provincial Conversion Rate Award from the Trillium Gift of Life Network. This award recognizes a hospital’s dedication to organ and tissue donation in Ontario.
Hospital Board Chair Maggie Matear says this just shows the caring nature in Timmins.
Director of Hospital Programs, Education and Professional Practice with the Gift of Life Network Janice Beitel says this is a great honour for the hospital.
Beitel says organ donors are always needed and you can sign up when you renew your health card or online.
