Two Timmins residents are facing charges for a robbery at a local store.
The Timmins Police Service says at about 3:15pm yesterday, police responded to a report of a man and woman stealing several items. Police say the woman was allegedly threatening the store staff and the man allegedly assaulted someone as he left the store. Officers found the two and recovered the stolen items.
The 20-year-old woman is facing eight charges including robbery, uttering threats to cause bodily harm and consuming alcohol in a public place. The 19-year-old man is facing four charges including robbery, possession of property obtained by crime and trespassing.
Both suspects are in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
