Local health partners are teaming up to host a health fair for older adults.
The Porcupine Health Unit is working with groups such as the Cochrane District Social Planning Council, NeoNet and Misiway to provide healthcare information to the older population. Public Health Nurse Patrick Nowak says this is part of making the city a more age-friendly community.
Nowak says there will be healthcare booths and speakers throughout the day.
The fair will be set up at Science Timmins on October 27th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Admission is free.
