Stars and Thunder communication and transparency questions have been cleared up at city hall.
Timmins CAO Dave Landers presented to council the line of communication between councillors and organizers, as well as the roles and responsibilities of city staff at last night’s meeting. Landers says councillors would bring all questions to him and he would send them to the appropriate committees.
Landers says councillors are also invited to the different committee meetings.
He says one challenge they may face is having too many councillors at the committee meetings. He says if there are too many, it then becomes a meeting of council and would breach closed meeting rules. Landers says this is something that will be monitored.
