The Timmins Chamber has awarded Mayor Tom Laughren with a Personal Honourary Lifetime Membership. The recognition is given to those who are dedicated to the chamber, business communities, and the region. Laughren was given the award at last week’s Annual General Meeting, where Vice President, Kurt Bigeau, says he has a talent for advocating in the interests of the city. He also credited Tom’s role in starting the Northern Mayor’s Task Force. Laughren thanked his wife and the Chamber when accepting the award.
