Tourism partners from across the province are impressed with what Timmins has to offer.
The city was the host for an Attractions Ontario board meeting last week at the Timmins Museum and members got to experience everything Timmins has to offer from food to nature and culture. Chairwoman Kathrine Christensen says something that Timmins has, the not many other places have, is experiential tourism.
Christensen says all 13 board members will be taking back information about the city and the north to their regions, which will help promote the city.
Manager of Tourism Timmins Guy Lamarche says this is the first time the board has come to Timmins. He says he is working of having the board members return in the winter to experience Timmins surreal winter wonderland atmosphere.
