Math will continue to be a primary focus for District School Board Ontario North East.
This according to Director of Education Lesleigh Dye, after she took a look at the Education Quality and Accountability Office results for 2017. Dye says this year’s goal is to bring up the percentage of students to the provincial standard.
Dye says the district will certainly be looking at the teaching strategies in math classrooms, but will also keep an eye on students reading and writing. She adds the district wants students to be curious, creative and collaborative about their learning.
