Timmins residents are preparing to “Take Back the Night”.
The Timmins and Area Women in Crisis is hosting the annual march to spread awareness and support about sexual assault. Karine Denis with TAWC says it’s important to talk about the problems revolving around assault.
Denis says this year’s focus is around sexual assault on school campuses and some of the policies that can help stop this. Becky Mason with TAWC says anyone can join in the walk, including men. She says this isn’t just a women’s issue.
The march starts at 6:30pm at TAWC on Tuesday.
