Charges Laid for Mushkegowuk Council Break-In

Two Timmins men are facing charges for the break, enter and theft at the Mushkegowuk Council office.

The Timmins Police Service says the break-in happened back on September 2nd and 3rd where multiple laptops, tablets, flat-screen tv’s and money was taken from the Birch Street South office. Police say they were able to recover many of the stolen items as well as other stolen goods including electronics and tools.

A 28-year-old man is facing two charges including trafficking stolen goods for this case, as well as an additional three charges for a separate incident. A 36-year-old man is facing three charges including possession of property obtained by crime for this incident, and an additional four charges for a separate case.

Police say the 28-year-old is in custody awaiting his court appearance on October 10th, and the 36-year-old is in custody awaiting a video remand on Friday.
