Keeping your child safe will be top of mind at an upcoming Car Seat Safety Blitz.
This is the second time this year the Porcupine Health Unit is hosting the event. The blitz is aimed at ensuring your child is safe with the proper installation of your car seat. The health unit says a properly installed car seat can reduce the risk of fatal injuries by more than 70 per cent. PHU adds that just under 80 per cent of the seats inspected at the June blitz had at least one installation error.
The Car Seat Safety Blitz will take place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday at the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board ambulance bay in Timmins.
