The Timmins Police has had multiple calls about bears in residential areas this week. There was one in Schumacher yesterday, and one in the Brosseau and McLean area. Both were there because of garbage being left outside. Police are reminding everyone to keep barbecue’s clean, garbage inside, and remove bird feeders and fallen fruit. If you see a bear and are in immediate danger call 9-1-1. If it not an immediate threat, call the Bear Reporting hotline, at 1-866-514-2327 (May to November).
