Bisson Not Happy with the Boundaries Commission Draft

Timmins-James Bay MPP is not happy with the Far North Electoral Boundaries Commission draft plans for new ridings.

The commission is looking at splitting up the Timmins-James Bay and Kenora-Rainy River ridings to create more opportunities for a First Nations representative in both the Northeast and Northwest. Gilles Bisson says the draft for his riding would be broken up to the City of Timmins being its own riding and the northern portion of the current riding seperating.

Bisson says there are other ways to break up the riding.

The commission must submit a final recommendation to the Attorney General by August 1st.
