The first Northern Ontario Book Fair in Timmins kicks off this weekend. The Silverleaf Writer’s Guild is hosting the book fair, which will run in tandem with Stars and Thunder.
It will have books for sale, authors on hand, and information about the writers guild. A number of local authors are taking part:
- Bryan Davies and Andrew Trificante, authors of A Boy from Botwood
- Kevin Vincent, author of Bootleg Gold (Volumes 1 and 2)
- Davis Dewsbury, creator of the Auric of the North comic book series
- Frank Giorno, author of four poetry volumes, including My Nation is a Train…Wreck and MoPoPoMo Variations
- Richard Buell, author of more than a dozen books including The Glory of Our Game (Volumes 1 and 2) and A CENTimental Journey
The fair is at Gillies Lake between 12:00pm and 10:00pm from June 24 to July 1, 2017. The full schedule is on the Silverleaf website:
