New Members are Elected to the Chamber of Commerce

Six new members have been elected and will sit on the board of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce. They will be sworn in at the Annual General Meeting this fall. The incoming Chamber President, Al Thorne, says the expertise and experience of this year’s board is impressive, and the members will be well served by the additions. They will provide guidance to the policies and programs of the Chamber.

The new members to the Board include:

– Eleanor Baccega, a lawyer with the Riopelle Group Professional Corporation
– Patricia Buttineau, the coordinator of communications and corporate responsiblity with Goldcorp Porcupine Gold Mines
– Jamie Clarke, owner of Tisdale Plumbing and Heating Ltd.
– John Crescenzi, general manager of Holiday Inn Express & Suites
– Val Venneri, general manager of James Toyota.
– John Labine, Lake Shore Gold Corp. purchasing manager, who served on the board last year and was re-elected to return
