Monday night council meetings will be changing.

Timmins City Council has voted to change its meeting days from Mondays to Tuesdays. It has also voted to meet only on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Councillors say this may help meetings run more smoothly and give city staff more time to prepare reports for council. Council says this will also cut down the number of cancelled meetings because of holiday Mondays.

The first Tuesday meeting will take place on May 23rd.
