Kapuskasing will be welcoming and bringing in Kashechewan evacuees throughout the week according to CAO Guylain Baril.
Baril says the support from the community and social services has been wonderful.
Baril says the town will be bringing in a total of 500 short-term evacuees over the next three days.
The City of Timmins has not yet stated if it will house evacuees.
