Seniors in the area will be able to learn more about technology.

NEOnet has received $254,200 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation for its Technology Training for Seniors project. Project Coordinator Laura Imhoff says this project is geared towards teaching seniors digital literacy and to connect them with family, friends and social economic services online.

There will be workshops throughout the area including Timmins, Cochrane, Gogama,Iroquois Falls, Foleyet and the James Bay Coast.

NEOnet says this project will take place over a 24 month period.
