A gravel base is needed at Hollinger Park for Stars and Thunder.

Timmins City Council says the festival requires a gravel base at the south end of the park for the staging area, as well as a pathway around the stage for set up and first responders. Council chose Parker Construction’s bid at $99,074.55 plus HST.

The money will be coming out of the parks budget, but the city says it is applying for some funding through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.
