A security firm has been picked for Stars and Thunder.
Timmins City Council has chosen Lowell Security Inc to work alongside the Timmins Police Service for the eight day music festival. Deputy Police Chief Des Walsh says the security firm will be in Timmins for 13 days around the festival.
Walsh says the security service will be working under police direction at all the festival locations.
Lowell Security Inc will be paid $235,404 plus HST for its help.
