Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the area.
The weather agency says areas will see another five millimetres of rain this morning. As temperatures fall below the freezing mark this morning, the rain will change to freezing rain. It says the freezing rain may persist for a few hours before changing over to some light snow or ice pellets this afternoon.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. It says to slow down, watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
