Timmins Blending Chamber Project is Almost Complete

The Timmins filtration plant’s new blending chamber is almost finished.

The blending chamber is a tank where chlorine is added to the city’s drinking water to disinfect it. Public Works Manager Steve Kukulka says the chamber should reach sustainable completion by June 14th. Kukulka says the project has gone through 77 per cent of its $5.7-million budget.

Some of the work that needs to be completed includes drainage, commissioning both UV reactors and water piping tie-ins.
