The Paws-a-looza Karaoke night was a huge success for the Timmins and District Humane Society.

The organization held a 12 hour karaoke marathon to raise money for local animal care. Humane Society Manager Alicia Santamaria says between the silent auction, a live auction and 50/50 tickets, they raised roughly seven thousand dollars.

Santamaria says the Humane Society is looking at holding another fundraiser like this in the near future.
