Local Hockey Volunteer Receives League Award

One of our very own hockey volunteers has received a prestigious award.

The Great North Midget League has given the Builders Award to Timmins Majors Volunteer Audrey Larivee. The Builders Award goes to someone within the league that is dedicated and goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Larivee has been volunteering with the Majors since 1986. She has served many positions within the team including Secretary, Assistant General Manager,Board President and many more. She has also volunteered for world hockey championships and was a huge part of many of the Majors fundraiser’s here in town.

Larivee is the longest tenured Majors executive in the team’s history and is currently working as the team’s treasurer.
