NDP Health Critic France Gelinas is accusing the Wynne Liberals of supporting a two-tiered health care system.

The Nickel Belt MPP says the Liberals are turning a blind eye to people paying private clinics thousands of dollars to avoid wait times for treatment. By doing nothing about the private clinics, Gelinas claims the Liberals have put some patients in a terrible position.

Gelinas says when people pay private clinics for treatments, they increase the wait times for others.

Health Minister Erik Hoskins claims Ontario has the shortest wait times for MRIs, ultrasounds, PET scans and CAT scans in the country.
