Timmins lakes being monitored by the MNR

A number of lakes in Timmins will be monitored this summer as part of an Ontario wide project. The Ministry of Natural Resources will be surveying a total of 143 lakes across the province. They will be taking water samples, observing fish populations, and checking for invasive species. Ivanhoe and Muskasenda Lakes are among those being watched in Timmins.  Boaters and anglers are being asked to avoid the buoys and nets, which are going to be marked and easy to see.
