The reduced load by-law may come into effect soon.
The Timmins Public Works department is monitoring the weather and road conditions before fully implementing the by-law. Public Works Manager Ken Krcel says this by-law restricts what streets heavy commercial trucks and trailers can use in the city.
Krcel says many of the restricted streets are older rural roads in the east and west portions of the city. Click here for a full list.
